Review A Well-Dressed Gentleman's Pocket Guide by Oscar Lenius

Pros: perfect for true gentlemen

Cons: history book of clothes

A Well-Dressed Gentleman's Pocket Guide by Oscar Lenius is a nice little pocket guide which remains entertaining but informative when covering all things related to sartorial etiquettes. This little book is a great reference for formal dressing of the classic school, which will never go out of style.

It discusses the history of the suit, common faux pas, description of materials, and many other things along with informative illustrations. The book covers the entire wardrobe from suits, coats,

shirts and shoes to the finer details, from umbrellas to underwear - their history, manufacture, tailoring, materials, patterns and colors.

The author Oscar Lenius who is not only managing director of a major menswear store group, but also president of the International Union of Menswear Outfitters guides you as to what dress is appropriate for which occasion and how to combine the right suits, trousers, coats, shirts, ties, socks, shoes, hats or umbrellas. This is indeed an excellent book and it would also make a great gift for a dad, husband, or boyfriend.
